Children develop at their own rate. Just as some children are toilet-trained by the age of two and others still wear night-nappies at 7, pre-schoolers attain their foundation skills at different rates as well as commence school between 4 and 6 years of age.
Our 3-6 age range supports most pre-school curriculum and is a strategic pre-cursor to kindy/prep learning using word identification to complete sentences and identify meaning with pictures in the preparation for reading process. This not only supports basic literacy, numeracy and patterns but can also assist with your child getting used to school processes.
Our 4-7 range supports most kindy/prep curriculum as it continues to develop fine motor strength, pattern and shape understanding, word/picture identification as well as introducing simple sentence and numeracy exercises. Shapeeze 4-7 aims to expand the range of known words/numbers which can support your child’s early reading experience and contribute to improving self-esteem and a love of reading/learning.
